Cynthia Yin, O.D.

Dr. Yin has practiced optometry in the Kansas City area for over 20 years with extensive experience in adult, pediatric and geriatric eye care and diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and injuries. She is happy to take the time to help her patients understand their vision and ocular health conditions and the options available for correction or treatment in glasses, contact lenses and corrective surgery. She especially enjoys helping her patients achieve clear, comfortable vision with the latest contact lenses.

She graduated from Indiana University School of Optometry and completed a residency at the Kansas City Veterans Administration Medical Center. After teaching at the University of Kansas Department of Ophthalmology she practiced with a local health maintenance organization for twelve years before entering private practice. Dr. Yin is a member and past president of the Optometric Society of Greater Kansas City and a member of the American Optometric Association and the Kansas Optometric Association.

Cynthia is a current member and past president of the Zonta Club of Johnson County, Kansas, a member of the Kansas City Triumphs Sports Car Club and a member of the Business Referral Alliance. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, knitting, walking, reading, and traveling.

Meet the Staff

Myla

Myla coordinates our insurance billing and helped open Yin Eyecare in August 2007. You will often find her cheerfully assisting patients at the front desk. She can guide you in choosing the latest frames and lenses that will fit and flatter you. Away from the office Myla enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.

Rick

Rick is our primary optician and joined our office in October 2007. After retiring from a career in the military, Rick has spent the last 15+ years in the optical field. His experience will help you choose the prescription lens options that will give you the best vision, comfort and appearance. Rick has a wife, 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren who keep him busy.

Tish

Tish brings her smile and enthusiasm to her position as optometric assistant.  She is happy to help you with your glasses and contact lens orders and schedule your appointments.  In her free time, Tish enjoys her family and reading.
